Oladipo Olaniyi

As Director of Business Development at Ficus Capital, Mr. Olaniyi provides strategic direction for the company’s operations and business development initiatives. He leads the company’s efforts in developing sustainable partnerships, executing complex commercial transactions, and expanding opportunities within Nigeria’s oil and gas, infrastructure, and government agencies.

Prior to his entrepreneurial journey, Mr. Olaniyi built a career in the capital market, gaining extensive experience in stockbroking and securities trading. He also worked in the banking sector with the former Afribank Plc, AIL Securities Limited, Spok Capital Limited and a few others, where he developed strong skills in money market trading, banking operations, financial management, and client relationship management. His combined experience across banking and capital markets has equipped him with deep expertise in investment analysis, corporate finance, risk management, and strategic business planning.

An accomplished academic and lifelong learner, Mr. Oladipo Olaniyi holds a Doctorate in Management, an MBA from Lagos Business School, and Bachelor’s, Postgraduate Diploma, and Master’s degrees in Economics. He further complements his academic credentials with globally recognized professional certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), and ICAgile certification, reflecting his commitment to project excellence, agile leadership, and organizational transformation.

In addition to his executive responsibilities, Mr. Olaniyi is an accomplished entrepreneur, serving as a Director and Partner in several companies across diverse sectors.
