Felix Johnson
Managing Director
Felix is responsible for day-to-day leadership at Ficus Capital with over two decades of investment management experience across fixed income, equities and alternative asset classes. In previous leadership roles, he assembled professional teams that built a diversified client base from scratch including institutional investors like pension fund administrators, banks and insurance companies, leading the firm to profitability in its first year of operations.
His international experience includes advisory work with European asset managers and African banking groups on external reserve management for sovereign entities, as well as senior roles at Access Bank Group. At Oceanic Capital, he was a key member of execution teams for managing transactions in debt and equity capital from domestic and foreign investors.
Felix holds an MSc in Investment Management from Cass Business School, an MSc in Business Management from Hull University Business School, and a BSc Economics from University of Ibadan. Felix’s vision for Ficus Capital centers on building a pan-African asset management platform targeting credit, real estate and infrastructure asset classes, leveraging his proven ability to scale operations, build institutional relationships and deliver consistent profitability.
